Action words
You don’t need to write in long sentences or use impressive words to put together an effective CV or application. The important thing is to describe things clearly and positively. Positive ‘action’ words, like the ones listed below, help to give a clear description of the experience you have and the role you played in a particular project or task. ‘Action’ words are great at the beginning of bullet points within CV’s. Avoid non-specific words like ‘helped’, which don’t really tell the employer what you actually did.
